eChapter: The Gender Wage Gap - Achieving Equal Pay
Equal Pay Day symbolizes how far into the year women must work to achieve the same salary that men earned in the previous year. This year, Equal Pay Day falls on April 2, 2019.

On average, women earn 20% less than men for the same type of work. While we've made strides in closing the pay gap, we still have a long way to go.

During this eChapter session, we will discuss:
- The facts about the Gender Wage Gap - statistics, laws and how this impacts women;
- Knowing your value - tools to help you research salaries in your field / location;
- How to talk about pay and compensation at work; and
- Negotiation strategies.

The eChapter platform offers a fun, insightful and interactive channel for women to connect over topics that will help them achieve more personally and professionally. Our host, Tanya Memme, is an Emmy-nominated TV star who has appeared on Sell This House and Move This House on the A&E Network. Tanya is a passionate entrepreneur, philanthropist speaker, beauty and health advocate and proud mother of one.
